Chris Higgs played in goal for City's youth team between 1997 and 1999 ahead of a long career in Devon and Dorset football.
In the team that faced Notts County in the FA Youth Cup in November 1998, he went on the play for Dorchester Town and Axminster Town - where in 2007/08 he won two player of the year awards - prior to dropping down to the Perry Street and Devon & Exeter leagues for a long stint with Lyme Regis Town that lasted until 2023.
