Paul Abrahams

Paul Abrahams from Colchester, started against Brechin in a pre-season friendly in 1999. He was on trial at Exeter in the Summer of 1999.

Paul started with his hometown club, signing as professional in 1992, between 91 and 95 he played 58 times at Layer Road, scoring 8 league goals, In 1995 he signed for Brentford, making 35 apperances and scoring 8 more league goals, loaned back to Colchester in 1996, he signed for them a little while later, playing another 89 games and scoring 18 goals between 1996 and 1999.

After his short trial with the Grecians, and recovering from a knee injury he retired from League football and joined Kettering playing 10 games in 1999/2000, he then played for various non-league sides, including Canvey Island, Chesham United, Wivenhoe Town, Heybridge Swifts, Hemel Hempstead Town, Wivenhoe Town, AFC Sudbury, and Halstead Town. Playing more than 350 games and scoring over 100 goals, in a football career that ended in 2010, due to a cruciate ligament injury.
