David Beale was teenage goalkeeper who came on as subsitute for Danny Potter at Brechin in a pre-season friendly in 1999.

He had joined Arsenal as a trainee in 1996, but was released without being offered a pro contract in 1999.  He was on trial at Leyton Orient (and Exeter City) in the summer of 1999.
