Biographical Text

Pete Monks, then a youth team player, made a soltiary first-team appearance for Exeter City in the Conference Cup in 2005. 

Pete was with the under-15s at Exeter City in 2001/02 and was part of the under-16s development squad in 2002/03 before becoming a trainee upon leaving school in 2003.

Having been a regular for the youth side, including making appearances in the FA Youth Cup, he was in his second-year as a full-time youth player when he made a substitute appearance for the first-team in the Conference Cup at Aldershot Town on 8 February 2005.

Leaving St James' Park in 2005 he initially played for Dorchester Town before moving on to Taunton Town, Bridgwater Town, Weston-Super-Mare and Chippenham Town in a lengthy non-league career. 

Whilst with Chippenham Peter was capped by the British Virgin Islands as a result of a loophole that enabled the islands to select non-resident players with British nationality.
