Matty Whichelow played three games for Exeter City in 2011 when on loan from Watford. After further loans with Accrington and Wycombe he played the rest of his career in non-league football.
Matty became a Watford trainee in 2008 and made his league debut in September 2010, the first of 21 Championship and FA Cup appearances that season.
After one appearance in August 2011, Matty was loaned to Exeter City and played his first game against Bournemouth on 17 September 2011. He then appeared at Sheffield Wednesday and in the Football League Trophy against Swindon before returning to Watford.
After facing Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup in January 2012, Matthy went on loan to Wycombe Wanderers and - in April 2012 - played what proved to be his final game for Watford. After a loan spell with Accrington the following autumn, he left Vicarage Road in April 2013. Matty then joined Boreham Wood in August 2013 and, following loans to Chelmsford City and Oxford City, moved on to Wealdstone, Hampton & Richmond Borough and - in 2020 - King’s Langley. He was capped by Montserrat in 2019.
