Lucas, from Alphington, was in City's academy from the age of ten and was a trainee/scholar between 2016 and 2018. He was a substitute against Wigan in the FA Youth Cup in December 2016.

As of 2023/24 he was appearing for Crediton United in the SW Peninsula League
