Son of player, manager and TV pundit Chris Hargreaves, Cameron was a trainee at Exeter City between 2015 and 2017. During his time at City he played against Wigan in the FA Youth Cup 3rd Round in December 2016.

After his release by Exeter, Cameron joined Bristol Rovers. He made his debut for Rovers during 2019/20 after spending a loan spell at Hungerford towards the end of 2018/19. 

In total Cameron made twenty league appearances for Rovers before leaving the club in 2022. He had also been on loan to Chippenham Town and King’s Lynn Town.

Cameron joined National League North King’s Lynn Town at the start of 2022/23. At Lynn he was to play in the same team as former Exeter ‘keeper Paul Jones.
