Sammy was a trialist in the 1997 pre-season, spending a few weeks at Exeter.

He played on the 21/7/97 in a pre season friendly against Sheffield Wednesday. A week later he played the full game in the Bridgwater friendly on the 28/7/97.

He had been at Manchester City before Exeter and after leaving City he joined Stafford Rangers, who were managed by Kevin Bond.

He then moved to Witton Albion.
