1977 Pym, Mel
Biographical Text
Mel played for Exeter City's youth and reserve teams at various times before featuring in the Exmouth Town team that reached the last-four of the FA Vase in 1985.
Mel first appeared for City as a teenager in the South West and Wales Youth League in 1977/78. Later, after starting to do well in the adult game with Exmouth Town, he had a trial with the reserves during 1981/82.
Returning to Southern Road he played a key role in a strong Exmouth team that won the Western League in 1984 and 1986 and reached semi-final of the FA Vase against Fleetwood Town in 1985.
