Born Torbay 1997. 

Charlie was at Exeter City's centre of excellence before signing as a scholar/trainee in 2013. He was released by the club in 2015.

Charlie then undertook a scholarship at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire where he gained a degree in sports management and played in university football. Over a four-year period he made forty appearances against other universities. 

Charlie returned to England in 2019 and played for Weston-super-Mare, Dorchester Town and Truro City over the next three years.

in March 2023 he was reported as signing for Bideford along with Cameron Gill, another one-time Exeter City trainee.
