Dan completed his two-year trainee/scholarship with Exeter City in the summer of 2015. He played for City in the Football League Youth Alliance but was not offered a professional contract. 

He moved to Canada to St Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia on a scholarship in 2015 and then joined Calgary Foothills in 2017.

Dan subsequently joined Tiverton Town in August 2020 on returning from Canada. After two seasons and 59 appearances and 16 goals in all competitions for Tiverton, he switched to Bath City in June 2022 ahead of signing for Torquay United in June 2024.
