Howard Whitehouse, from the Birmingham area, played for England schools whilst registered as an associated schoolboy with Exeter City. There is no record of his football career beyond this point.
Registered on schoolboy forms with Exeter City during his penultimate year of schooling in 1983/84, he was on the bench for the England Schools under-15 side against Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland before appearing against West Germany and Switzerland in the spring of 1984. He was later on the bench again for the game against the Netherlands at Wembley.
