On the 4th November 1973, you note that Exeter lost by 5 goals to 1 away to Wolverhampton in what was then the League Cup. 


Please note that the correct date of this match was the 20th November. I can verifiy this as I was working in Croydon at the time and travelled from there to Wolverhampton and back to see the game.


I can remember that we were well beaten that day and it was a sobering journey back to Croydon that evening.
