Shane played for the youth team at Exeter in 1990/91, he was an associated schoolboy from Estover, Plymouth.

He played as an outside left for the Under-16 on the 14th of August 1989 against Weston Oak Villa, City won 7-0.

He played as a right back, scoring a penalty against Dawlish Generals in the Devon and Exeter Youth League on the 13/10/1991.

He played 1 game for the Grecians in Neville Ovenden Football Combination League and Cup Competitions in 1992/93.

In 2004 Shane played for Bideford against Exeter in the Devon Bowl final, he had rejoined them at the start of the season, and has played over 170 games for the North Devon side scoring over 20 goals.
He has played for Exmouth, Elmore, Liskeard and Millbrook.
