Dennis Major became a professional with Exeter City in August 1956 after playing as an amateur. Did not play for the first-team in competitive football.
Former Ladysmith pupil who made his debut for Exeter City as a 17-year-old against Yeovil Town in a Southern League match on in August 1955, the first of eight reserve team appearances that season.
Turned professional a year later, after working as an apprentice motor mechanic, and played for the first-team in a floodlight friendly against the Manager's All Stars before continuing to be on the club's books until 1958.
