J. Lancaster was an amateur forward who played for the reserves in 1946/47.

He played for Exeter City reserves in the Southern League Cup against Merthyr on the 12/10/1946.

"The most discussed player in North Devon League this season, is Lancaster, Ilfracombe's centre forward, who has been watched by English league club scouts. He is one of the most consistent goai-scorers in the Exeter and East Devon League, having thirteen goals to his credit this season so far.”
