Biographical Text
Deen, a former student at King Edward VI school in Totnes was a former Plymouth Argyle apprentice who had earlier had trials with Manchester United and QPR. He first appeared for Exeter City in the FA Youth Cup in 1982/83 and was the brother of Mark Graves who played for Plymouth Argyle in the Football League.
Leaving Argyle after a year of his apprenticeship, he had a trial with Torquay United before signing Western League forms for Exmouth Town on a non-contract basis that allowed him to also play for City. After making appearances for the youth team, he switched his main registration to the Grecians and played for the 'A' and reserve teams through to May 1985 when he signed off from St James' Park with a goalscoring performance against Plymouth Argyle in the Devon Bowl final.
Subsequently appearing for Yeovil Town, Dawlish Town and Tiverton Town, Deen's social media accounts later suggested that he played in Australia with Perth Glory, studied at Exeter University and at postgraduate level and took up golf, powerboating and snowboarding before running a wellness camp in Thailand.
