Peter Heppell, 18, a winger with Exeter and District League side Friernhay is to train with Exeter City for a month starting on Tuesday 18th August 1970. 

City manager John Newman said he was impressed with Heppell's persistence and he was prepared to offer him the facilities for a month. At the end of that period Newman said they would take it from there
