Gary Fullbrook, who had recently appeared in the Football League for Swindon, had a short trial with Exeter City towards the end of the 1984/85 season before joining Bath City. He later made a handful of league appearances for Carlisle United. 

Born close to Twerton Park, home of Bath City, he became a Swindon Town trainee in 1982 and a professional in 1984. Making one league appearance for the club in November 1984, and another in the FA Cup, he had a try-out for the Grecians in a youth game at Swansea ahead of his departure from the County Ground in May 1985.

Returning to within a few yards of home, he played for Bath City between 1985 and 1987 prior to winning another stab at professional football with Carlisle United for whom he made six league appearances during 1987/88.  

Soon returning to Bath City, Gary also played for Gloucester City, Weymouth, Clevedon Town and Taunton Town and became a financial adviser.
