Carl was an 18 year old midfielder who was on trial in the summer of 2004.

He was due to sign a professional deal with Liverpool before a cruciate knee ligament injury ended his chances of staying at Anfield.
He had an unsuccessful trial at Preston, but had come highly recommended, but was also released by City after a couple of games for the reserves.

He signed for Camell Laird and in 2005, signed for Shrewsbury Town.

He returned to the "Lairds" and had an unsuccessful trial at Hearts.
In 2009 he was playing at Colwyn Bay. And later in local football in Liverpool.
