Andy played on the right wing in a pre-season friendly against Exmouth in 1985 at the Cat and Fiddle.

He was born in Dorchester, joining Torquay United in October 1984 from Teignmouth, going on to play 18 games, scoring twice before joining City on trial, he then joined Dawlish Town in 1985.

According to the local paper, he was still playing for Teignmouth, aged 42 in 2001
