Ian Nott (sometimes reported in error as 'Knott') was a goalkeeper from Wellington who played for Exeter City's youth team in 1978/79. Many years later, after a long career with Tiverton, Ian appeared for City in the South West Counties League in 2007/08.

Around the time Ian played for City’s youth team he had already played in Taunton Town’s first team. Also playing for Minehead, he was best-remembered for his thirteen seasons at Tiverton which included appearing in the 1993 FA Vase final at Wembley alongside Lee Annunziata, Peter Rogers, Kevin Smith and Hedley Steele  

Somewhat later in July 2022, Western League Wellington announced that Ian had been appointed as a  goalkeeping coach.
