Danny, from Oxford, had a spell with Exeter City’s youth team during the 1994/95 season. He later played in non-league football and became a sports therapist.

Also playing academy and youth football for Brighton & Hove Albion and Wycombe Wanderers, he played in non-league football for a number of clubs including Salisbury, Woking and Bashley. Training as a sports therapist, he worked with Millwall, Fulham, Arsenal and Reading before becoming a lecturer at Southampton Solent University.
