The brother of Fred Prideaux, then playing for City's first team, he is known to have played for the reserves against the Royal Scots, a Plymouth-based military team, in the Plymouth and District League on 3 February 1912. From Torpoint, and appearing in the game alongside his brother - who had not been deemed fit enough to travel with the first team to Queens Park Rangers - he appeared as a trialist and was not retained by City.
