Albert made his debut for the reserves in the Southern League on the 12th of November1949 against Headington away from home. 

He was still playing for Exeter City reserves in 1952/53 and 1953/54.

From Topsham, Devon, he was a forward who played in a number of positions.

In 1955/56 he was playing for Exmouth Town.
