Dave played and scored against Tonbridge at Tonbridge in a Southern League fixture on the 10th of October 1955 at centre-forward. It was the only game he played in City's Southern League team that season.

He played for the clubs South Western League side in 1959/60 as a left winger.

In 1958/1959 Dave was also playing for Polsloe Park AFC.

He played two games for City reserves in the Western League in 1960/61.
