Jack Warren was an amateur who made his debut, scoring twice, against Guildford, for Exeter City Reserves on the 29/1/1938.
In the match report of the 2nd March 1938 the following was written:-
"Jack Warren, the Ilfracombe amateur centre-forward, who is the subject of much interest among professional clubs, led the City's attack this afternoon against Norwich City Reserves"
In the match report of the 12th March 1938 the following was written:-
"Jack Warren, the Combe Martin amateur, led the City Reserves today in their Southern League match with Bath City at St James's Park"
