A.C. Mellish was an amateur right-back who made his debut for Exeter City Reserves against Dawlish in the Exeter and District League on the 10/9/1936.

He played for the reserves in the Southern League and Exeter and District League in 1936/37.

The match report of the Southern League game against Bath on the 12th March 1938 said:- 
"A.Mellish, a member of the undefeated Lympstone team, also played for the City, at right back"

He was indeed from Lympstone and also played for them.
