Biographical Text

Fred Grigg, an amateur goalkeeper, played for Exeter City Reserves in the 1931/32 season and was on the receiving end of several big defeats. 

Appeared for City’s reserves in a 5-0 defeat against Torquay United in the Western League in October 1931, before soon featuring in the 4-1 Southern League loss to Bristol Rovers, the 4-2 reverse against Torquay United in the Southern League and the 6-2 loss at Bristol Rovers in the Western League.

Aged around eighteen at the time, he was from Exeter and went on to play for the reserves on other occasions as well as turn out for Tiverton. He died locally in 1996.
