Leslie Burrows

Leslie Burrows played in a friendly for City against Minehead at Minehead on the 23/1/1926, he scored and City won 6-3. He played for the reserves at home to Plymouth Argyle on Christmas Day 1926, in front of 4000 fans and three days later scored a hatrick against Yeovil as a centre-forward. He played and scored a hatrick in a friendly against a Combined Colleges X1, on the 2nd of February 1927, Exeter won 10-1.

The following was from the Western League match report of the 7th September 1929 against Bristol City 

" L Burrows, the Exonian who joined Bristol City in the summer from Taunton Town, and who led the Bristol City 1st XI attack in the opening match against Notts County in the north a week ago, when the "Babes" lost by 3-1, now led the Reserve eleven" 


Leslie played for AFC Friernhay in the late 30's and was part of there Devon Cup winning side in 1936/37
