Russell Hutchings

Russell Hutchings played at outside-right played for the reserves at home to Plymouth Argyle on Christmas Day 1926, in front of 4000 fans, the score was 2-2.
He played again, this time at outside-left, on the 2nd of February 1929, as an a amateur, scoring in an 8-2 win against Yeovil and Petters United in the Western League, this time the crowd was only 2000.

He was a forward at Tiverton Town from the 1920's to 1947 where he scored over 150 league and cup goals, playing mostly at centre-forward, his most prolific seasons at Ladysmead was in mid 1930's.
After leaving Tiverton he played for Silverton, and was a member of their unbeaten team that won the Devon Senior Cup and the Tiverton and District Championship in 1949/50.
