George Selley
George Selley, a young Exonian, made his debut for the reserves in the Western League on the 31st of August 1927. He was described as having "speed and grit and much of his work was exceptionally bright"
He had previously been at Alfreton Town and Stoke City after signing for Exeter in 1927 the press reported the following
"George Selley, of Exeter, who has assisted Alfreton Town and Stoke City, has signed amateur forms. Young and of lightly built physique, Selley is a quick-moving inside left."
He played for the reserves as a inside forward, on the left or right throughout the season, he scored a total of 6 goals in Western and Southern Leagues. Including a hatrick in 9-1 win against Ebbw Vale in the Southern League on the 28th of April 1928.
