Goalkeeper John Dent appeared for Exeter City reserves in the Western League during 1973/74 before enjoying a long career in Westcountry non-league football.
After following in the footsteps of Phil Hewlett as City's reserve team 'keeper in the early 1970s, John took the same path as his predecessor in playing for Falmouth Town some years later.
Once on the books of Plymouth Argyle, he also had stints with Liskeard Athletic and Penzance.
