B. Erridge was Local amateur from Friernhay who played in the second practice game on 18 August 1928 at outside-left. 

He later played his first Southern League game against Bristol Rovers on 25 August 1928. He had been enlisted to play Southern and Western League matches at the same time as Cliff Bastin and Percy Noble. He scored his first goal for Exeter at Ilfracombe in a friendly in September 1928.
