Ken Wallis, who had been turning out for Bishopsteignton, joined Exeter City as an amateur in 1928 and made a handful of appearances for the reserves.

An inside-left, he joined Exeter City as an amateur from Bishopsteignton when the reserves were playing in the Southern and Western leagues. He made his first appearance in a friendly with Torquay United Reserves and was aged around twenty at the time.
