1928
Hayman

Hayman was a goalkeeper who made his debut against Swindon Town reserves in the Southern League on the 28/12/1928. He was drafted in, from St James F.C, because of injury to the 1st team goalkeeper, Holland and Campbell was promoted to play for the "Chiefs". (The name given to Exeter City's first team since its formation)

His debut was without doubt the most eventful of any goalkeeper who has played for Exeter City.

The Grecians were behind at half time by 4-3, away at Swindon, in the second City did manage to score twice, their goals coming from Dennington, Streets 2, Bastin and Wade. Scoring 5 goals away in itself is exceptional except that in the second half City conceded 8 more goals, the final score was,
