Arnie was an A level student at Exeter College between 2016 and 2018 who sometimes played for City's under-18s alongside the club's trainees. He was in the squad for the FA Youth Cup game against Radstock in November 2106. 

He later obtained a first-class degree in actuarial science and  mathematics from Manchester University and, as of 2023, was working as an actuarial analyst in Manchester.
