Adam was with the under-15s development squad at the Centre of Excellence in 2004/05 and remained within the youth set-up until leaving school. 

After featuring in local football and playing for Robina City in Queensland, Adam made a handful of first-team appearances for Tiverton Town in 2014/15 before also playing Barnstaple Town, Crediton United and Exmouth Town (2019/20).

Working as a primary schools' football coach, Adam was again appearing in the colours of Crediton United as of 2023/24.
