Alan Hockenhull
Alan was on trial in the 1996 pre-season, a striker from St.Helens.
He made a scoring debut in a 6-0 win at Portleven. He was also involved in friendlies against Taunton, Portsmouth and Manchester City.
Released he returned to the North-West, and went on to play for Warrington and Haydock FC. This was reported in the Lancashire Telegraph in November 1996
"ST HELENS Town boss Jimmy McBride has swooped to strengthen the Hoghton Road squad. He's signed three players with experience of higher divisions in the non-league pyramid, including Alan Hockenhull, who had trials with Exeter City at the beginning of the season before joining Winsford United."
