Ryan Cross, played in the pre-season friendlies against Portsmouth and Chelsea, in the Summer of 1996.

He was a former Plymouth Argyle trainee, who played 18 games as defender at Home Park between 1991 and 1992, he then signed for Hartlepool in June 1992 for a fee £75,000 where he played 50 league matches, leaving them in December 1993 to join Bury, he was at Bury until 1996, making 42 league apperances.

After being released by Bury he spent a fortnight on trial with the Grecians.
He then moved to Sligo Rovers.
