Matt Carmichael
Matt Carmichael was at Exeter on trial in the Summer of 1996, starting in the pre-season game against Manchester City.
His senior football career began with Durrington Rangers, moved to Salisbury City and joined Wycombe Wanderers in 1987, he also played at Bromley and Basingstoke Town.
He was PT instructor with the Royal Artillery and joined Lincoln City in 1989, staying 4 seasons playing 133 games and scoring 18 league goals.
In 1993, he moved to Scunthorpe United scoring 20 goals in 62 matches, whilst there he also played on loan at Barnet. He joined Preston North End in March 1995, played 10 games and scored 3 times.
He then played for Mansfield, Doncaster Rovers and Darlington. He was released by them at the end of 1996, played on trial at Exeter City and the moved to Finland, playing for TPS Turku, followed by Aylesbury United, Ilkeston Town, Stamford, Boston United, Grantham Town and Wisbech Town.
