Wayne Gray
Wayne played as a forward for Exeter City against Plymouth Argyle Reserves on the 1st of September 2009, in the Totesport.com Combination whilst on trial, he was substituted late in the game by James Norwood.
He stated a his professional career at Wimbledon, where he had played youth football, in 1999, over the next 4 seasons, he played 75 games for Wimbledon, scoring 6 goals, he was also on loan at Swindon and Port Vale in 2000 and at Orient in 2001/02. In 2002 he played 4 games for Brighton, whilst on loan.
in 2004 Wimbledon moved to Milton Keynes and Wayne moved to Southend, he played 86 games for the Shrimpers, before moving to Yeovil Town in 2006–2007 playing 46 games and scoring 11 goals, he transferred to Leyton Orient in 2007 making a further 54 apperances.
After his trial at Exeter, Wayne moved to AFC Hornchurch and in early 2010 transferred to Grays Athletic.
In the summer of 2010, he moved to Cambridge United and in 2011 to Chelmsford City and Woking in 2011/12, followed by a move to Carshalton Athletic and finally AFC Hornchurch in 2013.
In a career that spanned 14 years he played over 400 games and scored consistently wherever he went. Ending with nearly 90 goals.
