Michael was one of 8 trialists who played for Exeter City in a friendly at Hayes and Yeading on the 1st of August 2007. He was a defender and was released after this trial, returning to Palace. In December 2007, he played for the reserves at Brighton, whilst on a trial.

Michael was a trainee at Crystal Palace and still playing at Carlshalton in 2019, he had also played for Woking, Farnborough, Dulwich Hamlet, Hampton & Richmond Borough, Dover Athletic, Boreham Wood, Staines Town, Fisher Athletic and AFC Wimbledon.

Michael took on the Under-10s as Lead Coach at the Crystal Palace Academy in July 2019.
