Denny Mundee, formerly with Bournemouth and briefly a loanee with Torquay United, had a trial with Exeter City July 1993. He later played for Brentford and Brighton.
Starting as a schoolboy with Swindon Town, his hometown club, he was a youth player with Queen’s Park Rangers before joining Bournemouth where he made 100 league appearances.Coming to Devon for the first time, he made nine appearances on loan with Torquay United in 1989/90 prior to eventually departing Dean Court in 1993.
Seeking to remain in the professional ranks, he appeared for the Grecians in friendlies against Sticker and Sheffield Wednesday in July 1993 in advance of eventually agreeing terms with Brentford for whom he was to make 84 league appearances (16 goals) ahead of a 56-league game association with Brighton and Hove Albion.
Finishing with just over 250 Football league appearances to his name, he saw out his career with Dorchester Town, Salisbury City, Newport (IOW), Swindon Supermarine, Clevedon Town and Bath City.
