Lewis, from Cornwall started at Plymouth Argyle as a youngster in 2003, he moved to Exeter City in 2008, spending a season at Exeter City's Academy.

In 2009 he went to Hartpury College before moving to the USA in 2012, in order to study at Young Harris College. He played for Young Harris between 2012 and 2015, and then joined Ocala Stampede in 2014, where he made 34 apperances scoring 11 times.
In 2015 he joined Charlotte Independance where he scored 7 goals in 59 games. After two seasons he moved to Saint Louis, making a further 66 apperances scoring 7 goals. 
Before the 2020 season started, Lewis signed for Tampa Bay Rowdies in the United States League Championship.
