Goalkeeper J. Muirhead of Devonport Command signed for Exeter Citye in February 1947 and played for the reserves in the 6-0 Southern League loss at the hands of Gillingham in February 1947. He also played in the 8-3 defeat against Yeovil Town in the Southern League Cup a fortnight later.
