Biographical Text
Jake, who was attending Exmouth Community College, was fourteen when he signed as an associate schoolboy for Exeter City in 1997. Subsequently moving to Cornwall he became an important figure in coaching schools football and enjoyed a hugely-successful career as a player with Truro City and as a manager with Mousehole.
Originally from Truro, he returned to Cornwall to do a journalism degree at Falmouth and played for Falmouth Town before an eleven-year career with Truro City between 2005 and 2016 Making nearly 400 appearances for Truro, and scoring around sixty goals (many from defemce), he experienced six promotions in the club's colours and a FA Vase win in 2007.
Taking charge of football development at Penryn College in 2009, alongside running programmes for the West Cornwall Schools association, he became manager of Mousehole in 2018 and led the club from the South West Peninsula League through the Western League and into the Southern League.
