It is not just the players who perform on match days, and songs and chants from the stands have been an important part of the game for almost as long as the ball itself! Chants can range from being about one player, to representing a whole team or community. They can be funny (Amankwah), the can be poignant (Stanno), and sometimes they can verge on what some may find offensive (Plymouth)! However, whatever form they take, they are all part of building the atmosphere at the game, and helping the team out on the pitch.
