Luke was on trial at Exeter at the end of the 1999/2000 season from Bolton Wanderers.

He played in the Football league youth alliance against Brentford in April 2000.

Orginally with Blackburn Rovers, he signed for Bolton Wanderers in January 1999, after his trail at Exeter he moved to Barry Town For the start of the 2000/01 season. He moved from Barry Town to Merthyr Tydfil in January 2002, staying to the end of the season. 
Luke signed for Gainsborough Trinity in July 2002 and stayed there until 2005, from where he joined Worksop Town moving to Retford Town in 2008.

Luke moved into motivation and inspirational speaking after retiring from playing.
