Tom, was on trial from Derby County, when he played for Exeter City Reserves against Swansea on the 12th of April 2000.

A trainee at Derby County he then moved to GBK, in Finland, and also played for Stamford, Newport in the Isle of Wight, Belper Town, Eastwood Town and Mickleover Sports.
Tom played for Gresley Rovers, making his debut in August 2009, he made over 100 appearances for them scoring 5 times before leaving in 2012.
In 2013/14 he played for Borrowash Victoria and in 2015/16 was playing for South Normanton Athletic.
